You know we love Stockport, and we think the town has a lot to offer. If you ever need guidance or advice about the Stockport property market, get in touch. However, we know that many others don’t share our passion for the town, and that is okay. There are many great towns and cities in the country, in the North and in Greater Manchester. Therefore, when other people talk about Stockport, and how great a town it is, we are immensely proud.
The Building Live Club in Manchester event understandably spoke about local property issues, but Stockport featured prominently. There is a lot of positivity surrounding the Manchester property market these days. With the economy booming, the property development sector is just as busy, and a lot of people predict this to last for many years to come.
Stockport is a great location when working in Manchester
There is an acceptance that Manchester itself needs support in meeting the demand for property. One of the leading reasons why Manchester has so much to offer people is an excellent transport system. We know Stockport has a lot to offer locally, but the fact you can leave Stockport and be in the heart of Manchester in just over 10 minutes is a brilliant feature.
A growing number of people feel Stockport offers the best of both worlds. You are so close to Manchester; you can enjoy employment opportunities and the entertainment options without any hardship. However, by living in Stockport, you don’t have the stress or challenges of living in a major city. When you want the opportunities provided by a major city, but you want to live somewhere a bit quieter, Stockport has a lot to offer.
Stockport deserves regeneration
Eamonn Boylan, the chief executive of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), spoke about how the Government needed to avoid investing in “overheated places”. There is no denying that housing is a major issue in London, but it was also said that areas like Stockport, as well as Bolton and Altrincham, deserve to be regenerated. Boylan said; “Because those are the places that will sustain growth in the longer term. Those are the places which will need to provide the housing for people who will benefit from growth in the Greater Manchester economy”.
Also, with many people looking towards 2020, we note that in a list of The Best Buy To Let Locations for 2020, Manchester was listed in the Top 10. Seven Capital said Manchester is one of the “most exciting place to live and work in the UK”. Not only that, but they highlighted Stockport as an area that is helping people find homes and a great area to stay.
The more people talking about Stockport, the better, and we are always happy to chat about what the town has to offer.
