STOCKPORT IS A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE

Stockport Is A Great Place To Live

It may come as a shock to some people but life can be pretty good in Stockport. There have been a number of major improvements in the town and if you’re looking for a great place to stay at an affordable price, there aren’t many better options. Stockport is close enough to Manchester that you can work, rest and play in the city with ease but still get home in time for bed without too much hassle or inconvenience. This means you get to enjoy the best of both worlds without breaking the bank.

As a local estate agency that thrives on supporting the local community, we know the brilliance of Stockport but it is great to see that people from outside of the area have also recognised that Stockport is a fantastic place to live. You don’t need to take our word for it; you can look at the findings of Property Week, one of the leading trade magazines in the country.

They have ranked Stockport as the third best place to live in the United Kingdom outside of London. You can remove London from the equation anyway because who can afford to live and put up with the hassle of crowded streets and public transport? A top three ranking is very good in anyone’s language and it is brilliant to see why Stockport has ranked so highly.

Stockport has a lot to offer

Aspects which were taken into consideration in determining where towns and cities ranked include accessibility to public transport, schools, amenities, affordability, internet connectivity and employment. Basically, if a town could offer jobs, affordable places to stay, ways to get around and had a friendly and sociable atmosphere, they would rank high on the list. With this is in mind, it is easy to see why Stockport ranked highly and you may have to wonder why it ranked below Crewe and Chester!

Stockport received an overall score of 71.5% which is a score that the vast majority of us would accept for a test or examination. The combination of affordable housing with easy access to what Greater Manchester has to offer is a strong reason why Stockport scores highly in this sort of list, but it should also appeal to people looking for a place to stay.

With the cost of living in London being unattainable for so many people, it is inevitable that people will look further afield for a place to live. Stockport isn’t going to be the first name that people think of but the town’s appearance on a list of this nature can only be a positive for the entire community. Stockport has always had plenty to offer, it now seems as though the rest of the UK is coming alive to this fact.
