This was quite a challenging house sale. Richard was terrific from the moment he became involved, until we finally completed. I was kept up to date throughout, and Richard went to great personal effort to chase down outstanding actions and to work with the buyer to make sure that we got everything over the line. I had a bit of a bumpy ride as there were several changes in the agent handling my case - there were definitely extenuating circumstances for those changes so I can\'t begrudge that, but I did feel left in the dark as I wasn\'t told when my agent had changed, changed back, then changed again. I was told about the changes only when I chased questions and deadlines, plus the uncertainty and delay in hearing back made it difficult to schedule for surveys and quotes I needed. I got ghosted by some contractors when I was unable to confirm appointment times due to the breakdown in comms through Spencer Harvey to the seller at this point in the purchase. THE BIG UPSIDE was the way Spencer Harvey pulled through to exchange four working days and complete just two working days before my mortgage application expiry date. The delay at this point was not with Spencer Harvey as Richard and Andrew made calls, chased info, and relayed it all back to me in a really honest and clear fashion. If I did this again, I would call and call much more often to make sure any updates made it through to me, and I do think there was circumstances beyond SH\'s control with changing agents which is why I only took off one star. They came through when it counted and ultimately sent me into my first home!

What can I say, the team at Spencer Harvey were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. I beauty paraded three estate agents to sell my parent\'s house and from the minute Martin attended the property it was never in doubt I would appoint him. To start, my family has a small Buy-To-Let as well as a Rent-To-Rent\/Rent-To-Service Accommodation portfolio. So we know agents up and down the country and it\'s true to say; I have never been so fairly treated, considered and most importantly, respected. Recently, my partner and I got into some trouble with our current living situation. The apartment, in central, is beautiful. However, as the landlord lives out of the country and did not have enough time to manage the property, it became a literal disaster. It was infested with bed bugs, two rooms were completely destroyed, walls tared down, exposed plumbing, no shower or bath for seven months. From the moment we moved in, we could not stop looking for another place to live. It needed to be in a been specific area for work where we had no garnered connections, friends or family that could help. This took months until I met Emily. At the time, my partner and I were going through certain changes that made it harder to be accepted for renting. Not to mention, the rental market in Manchester being completely overwhelmed, it had honestly been the most stressful time for us both. From a professional point of view, my family are looking to expand to Manchester so that they can attempt to help students gain a place to live with actual affordable renting prices. I know all of the main letting agents in central Manchester as well as a somewhat extensive knowledge of some of the “smaller” letting agents dotted about Salford\/Central. I have never dealt with a letting agent from Stockport as it's not as common to find them in the areas where we were looking. However, I will never want to deal with any other letting agencies because of Emily. Our situation required heart, soul and compassion. We needed our circumstances to be heard and be dealt with with what I could best describe as a “real conversation”. Our situation did not necessarily ”fit the application form” but even in this busy time and I can not stress enough, hundreds of candidates, hundreds; Emily took the time to listen and helped us. I also must give an unequivocal thanks to David who showed us the property. He was calm, collected and knew what he was doing. He made us feel completely seen in such a, quite frankly, scary time. Emily did not know anything about what my family do as they are based in Wales. But I can not emphasise enough, these are the people you want.
